Training
Rebecca Dennis Balanced Horsemanship can offer training from start to finish. Techniques are a mix of classical riding and gentle western horsemanship pioneered and passed down from greats like Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. Does it upset you to see someone carelessly, or worse yet, aggressively banging on their horse’s mouth with the bit? Me, too. I will not break your horse, but I will teach him, with consistency and patience.
My training practices give horse and rider a solid and bio-mechanically correct foundation with no short-cuts, which can improve performance in any discipline the rider chooses. This foundation will work for anything from pleasure to reining to jumping to cow horse to traditional dressage, and it will improve your balance and relationship with your horse even if you “just trail ride!”
“A well trained horse is like a finely tuned instrument, but you still have to learn to be a musician.”
It does only so much good for me to ride your horse if you don’t know how, so once-weekly lessons are encouraged and included with every training package.
Full-time training is a must if you want your horse to progress at a reasonable pace. Anything from a 30-day tune-up to long term progression is available.
Part-time training is offered with the intent of keeping your horse better conditioned, or to maintain his current level of training while you learn as well.
